Taco John's

This campaign we made Taco John’s started with the insight that Taco Tuesday (which they trademarked) is more than just a day. It’s a feeling. A much-needed respite from the everyday, even a celebration. A cultural phenomenon that millions look forward to every week, even King James. We decided to use“taco” is a verb, and spread the Taco Tuesday feeling to more families more often. Sure, all that other stuff in life is important, and we’ll get to it — But first, we taco.

Taco John’s has a holiday dessert that’s the definition of a cult-favorite: The Apple Grande is a fried tortilla topped with cinnamon sugar, apple pie filling and crushed cinnamon candies. Oh, and lots of shredded cheddar cheese.

Those who love it are all in, but for the uninitiated, it's vaguely horrifying. Easily the least photogenic menu item in Taco John’s 50-year history. But due to popular demand, this bizarre holiday dessert returns to Taco John’s menu every year. And like most family holiday traditions, it’s wonderfully weird. So we had some fun with that.
